My First Halloween
I had a great first Halloween! I started out early so I would be in a good mood and so I could get back for bedtime. Around 4:30, I suited up in my spiffy goldfish costume and swam on down to Grandma-Great’s house.
Grandfather and Mimi met me there, too. And I reeled me in some good treats from them!
Next up was Pepa and Nina’s house. Great-Grandma Rhodes and my cousins, Hannah and Kolyn, were also there.

I hardly recognized Hannah in her witch costume and Kolyn looked great as a monkey! Hannah and I continued on to Aunt Jane and Uncle Buddy’s house.
And my final stop was at Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Thacker’s house. Lots of people were there to check me out…Aunt Leslie, Uncle Phillip, Paige, Alex, Uncle Jim, Aunt LeeAnn and Mema!
Everyone seemed to really enjoy my costume. I had kept it a secret from everyone to see if they would recognize me. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see Fischer on his first Halloween, but Aunt Lisa sent me a great picture of him in his scarecrow costume…
All of that decorating made me hungry, so I took a break for some Baby Mum-Mums. I like them so much that I thought maybe Grandpa might like to try one…
I have been so busy lately with the move and also planning my big first birthday bash! I can’t wait until next weekend, but I think Mommy is a little bit sad that her baby is growing up so fast. :(Thanks to Mimi for letting me stop by and use her computer to blog today. I almost forgot how to type it’s been so long! Once my internet is set up at the new house I hope to be a better blogger.
Birthday Shout-Outs: I’ve been slacking lately, but I hope Mommy (Oct. 21), Grandma-Great (Oct. 27), Mimi (Oct. 29) all had happy birthdays! And I hope Grandfather has a Happy Birthday today!

Jimmy Landrum Prosthesis Fund
"Jimmy suffered the loss of his left hand (his dominant hand) and broken bones in his right hand. He had surgery on his right hand to insert pins and screws, and the doctors expect him to regain full use of his right hand. Jimmy also suffered burns to his neck and face, which have been downgraded from second to first degree, which is a blessing, and he seems to be in good spirits.
Jimmy has always been active in sports, such as golf, kayaking, and rock climbing. We hope that with the money donated to this fund, he will be able to purchase a prosthesis that will allow him to do such things again.
His employer, Ozark Fitness, along with the efforts of Sterling Bank, has set up ‘The Jimmy Landrum Prosthesis Fund.’ This fund is available for deposits from anyone who can help. Donations can be made in Poplar Bluff directly at Sterling Bank or at Ozark Fitness.
In addition, at Ozark Fitness, 1/2 of all Jimmy Shake proceeds will be donated to 'The Jimmy Landrum Prosthesis Fund.' (The Jimmy Shake is a shake that Jimmy invented while working at the fitness center, and members just loved it.)
We hope and pray that Jimmy continues to make a speedy recovery and we are hopeful and thankful to all of you who are able to help Jimmy in this time of need."
I just wanted to pass along this information to those of you who have asked how you can help. I know my blog is viewed in many cities and states, so if you would like to donate, but are not local, you can mail your donation (payable to "The Jimmy Landrum Prosthesis Fund") directly to Sterling Bank at PO Box 460, Poplar Bluff, MO 63902.
Please keep Jimmy and the family in your prayers.

Pumpkin Heads
Last week, I scored me a hot date with an older woman named Ava. Our mommies drove us down to Pumpkin Hollow for a day in the pumpkin patch together. Obviously, we were made for one another since we dressed alike for our first date! It was totally unplanned, but we both showed up sporting our Gymboree pumpkin hats. Contrary to what one might think, our mommies did not knit them themselves. Although everyone seemed to think our mommies must be domestic divas and have all kinds of time on their hands to just knit away!Monday, October 15, 2007

M & M
Saturday, I went to my friend Molly's 1st birthday party. We had a great time celebrating and she got some great gifts. I liked testing out everything she got and that helped me to form my own birthday wish list. I've had several inquiries as to what I might like for my first birthday, so I thought I would make a wish list with some things that are on the top of my list. I hope this helps!

Walkin' the Walk
So Monday evening something just came over me. I don't know what happened, but for some reason I felt the urge to finally do it. I've been practicing for months now and I decided that October 1st would be the day...the day to start WALKING!
P.S. I'll apologize now for Mom's country twang in the video below. Hopefully, that doesn't rub off me!
P.P.S. Happy 30th birthday to my Aunt Mary today! I also need to give a belated birthday shout-out to Uncle Aaron. With all of my new walking, I forgot to give him a shout-out on October 1st. I hope you had a great birthday, Uncle Aaron!
