"Hanney Sauce" Came to Town!

Christmas was pretty fun for me this year. I loved opening up the presents...even the ones that weren't mine! I'm still talking about the gifts "Hanney Sauce" (aka Santa Claus) left for me. Whenever I get them out I have to say "Santa brung this". (Unfortunately, grammar is not my strong suit.) Yesterday, I told Mommy that Santa went "bye-bye". She told me he would be back next year, which freaked me out a little bit. She went on to say that he would be bringing me more presents next year. Which made it better. She asked what kind of presents I wanted next year. After thinking about it for a while I answered with "four". Mom said she thought Santa could handle four presents for next year. ;-) Below are some pictures of me tearing open my gifts from "Hanney Sauce".

Mean Vaccines

This week I went to see Dr. Suvan for my 2 year check-up and Hep. A shot. Sorry, no picture but there just wasn't time. It seems like when we actually have to be somewhere on time, I decide that would be a perfect opportunity to tell Mommy that I need to go potty! I am far from being "trained" in that area, but I sometimes get a wild idea that I might like to try it. Of course, Mommy drops everything and we always give it a try (usually, it just consists of me sitting there having Mommy read my Elmo potty book to me.) So that was, of course, the case on the morning of my doctor visit.

The check-up part of my visit went well. I am pleased to report I have 18 teeth, measure in at 35 inches and weigh 28 1/2 lbs. (I've actually lost a 1/2 lb. since the last time I was there...go figure!)

The vaccination part of my visit was another story. I've never had a problem before, but I guess with turning 2 I am just more aware about what is going on. I immediately wanted to leave before shot time came, but Mommy tried to lure me there a little longer by promising me one Dr. Suvan's sugar-free suckers. Holy cow, was it a sad sight when I got that shot! I cried and clutched my leg saying "it hurts!" :-( Even a sucker didn't relieve my pain. Once Mommy got our things together I LIMPED out of the office. Yes people, I seriously limped like my leg was broken. Mommy then had to pick me up and carry me the rest of the way because I just didn't think I could handle the pain from walking. I think Mommy was a little traumatized (as was I)!

The whole 1/2 mile drive home I told Mommy how bad "it hurts" and how I wanted the "sticker (band-aid) off". Once we got in the house, I insisted on removing the "sticker" and having some cuddle time with Mommy. So we rested in bed together for 45 minutes while I cried and again told Mommy how bad "it hurts". After my terrible morning, my afternoon perked up and I even found the energy to help wrap a few Christmas presents with Mommy.

So, who wants to volunteer to take me to get my next vaccine in June? ;-)

"2" Cute!

On my last post, I shared some pictures of my soon-to-be baby brother or sister. Well, today I wanted to share some new pictures of me! I recently went for my 2 year photo session at Sarah Kingree Photography. I decided to have some outdoor pictures taken since the changing leaves were so pretty. It was a chilly day when we went, but I was a real trooper and Mrs. Sarah managed to get some great shots! Be sure and check them out by going to www.sarahkingree.com. Click on the "client proofing" tab and enter the password "rhodes".

Say Cheese!

On Wednesday, Mommy went for her first ultrasound of the baby. Check out the pics below of my new baby brother or sister.

And my fav...
If you look closely in the pic above, you can see that he/she has a leg up touching his/her head! I think that means we might have a future Olympian on our hands! If it's a girl, my vote is to name her Shawn Johnson! ;-)

Happy Day!

I celebrated my 2nd birthday this weekend with a cupcake themed party! I went around all weekend saying "happy day!" anytime I saw balloons or cupcakes. I was really into it this year...blowing out candles and opening up presents. I really had a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of my "happy day"...

Below is a picture of my big cupcake cake that Mommy baked and Aunt Lisa decorated.

Fischer made it in for the weekend, so we got all dressed up in our banana and monkey costumes and made the rounds for some candy! I had a good time but was worn out by 8pm.

It's the Great Pumpkin!

Last night we headed over to Jane's for her annual pumpkin carving party! I made two pumpkins, one with plastic parts and the other with foam stickers. Alex and Hannah helped me with the plastic parts one and I attempted the foam sticker one all by myself! You can tell I did the sticker one myself, because I was really into layering my stickers one on top of another. And pretty much just stuck the teeth all over the pumpkin. It is a pretty interesting pumpkin to say the least! Here are some pics from last night...

Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch

Last week I went on a field trip with my playgroup to Pumpkin Hollow. I wasn't very cooperative for photos so Mommy had to take what she could get. I was just too busy to take time out for a picture.

Look how I'm growing!

I even tried to get a job working there...

On Monday since Daddy was off work the three of us went and checked out Dunlap Pumpkin Farm. My favorite part was, of course, the animals! I was very polite to the animals and even waved and said "hi" and "bye" to them. :-)

Red Hot Redbirds

Fischer and I met up in St. Louis for our very first Cardinals game this weekend. It was a great game and the weather was perfect! I had a blast clapping and cheering along with all of the other fans. Here we are root, root, rooting for the home team...
