My new thing at the moment is giving kisses! If you ask me for a kiss, I am usually pretty happy to oblige. Sometimes I'll even sneak one in without having to be asked. It's open mouth (see the pic above) and sometimes slobbery, but so far I haven't received any complaints. I even like to try giving Scout kisses, but that usually backfires and I end up drenched in dog saliva!
Another new thing going on with me is that my top central incisor teeth are coming in! The left one started showing and then the other day Mommy noticed there was a little white coming through on the right side, too! I'm ready to try these bad boys out on some real food now...like a big ol' hunk of meat! ;)
I'll end my post with a birthday shout out to Nina. I hope you have a great day tomorrow, Nina!

Sealed in Cement
Yesterday, the concrete man showed up to pour the driveway to Daddy's "man garage" at the new house. Dad has already claimed the lower garage as his duck haven. He can't wait to fill 'er up with all of his important hunting supplies (and Mom is excited that she won't have to see it strewn all over the house!). Anyway, I couldn't wait to leave my mark on the new driveway. I feel like I just got my own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
Here I am posing beside the new drive after I scratched my name in cement...
Here's what my official seal of approval looks like...

Busy Busy Baby
Last week I went to see what my cousin Fischer was up to. Like always, it was a fun visit. He invited me to his playgroup and they sure do it up big there in Southwest Missouri! Babies were everywhere and I loved it! I always hope I might run into my celebrity crush Shiloh Jolie-Pitt while I'm in Springfield, but that hasn't happened yet. A guy can dream though, right? Anyway, below are a few pictures from playgroup.
Friday, my cousin Kolyn invited me to the Mules football game. But first we had to hit Las Margaritas for some grub.
Saturday I spent a few hours at the soccer field. No, I'm not playing yet, Landen and Hannah both had games that I went and checked out.
I also want to add that I might not be blogging much in the next few weeks. I will try my hardest, but I can't make any promises. We are trying to get things ready at our new house so we can move in! Mom & Dad have been hard at work re-creating my nursery so that I can have a stylish place to call my own. So far, so good. I'll keep ya posted on how it all turns out!
Can you spot me in all of the babies?
Here I am hoarding some toys...
And stealing this kid's maraca...
(I really do need to work on my sharing.)
Here's Fischer enjoying his block...
After all that play, Fischer and I worked up an appetite!

Bring on the enchiladas, Senor!
This was my very first football game and the Mules put on a winning performance for me! My friends Landen and Molly and their cousin Macy sat with us at the game, too. We made it until half-time before everyone got tired and had to head on home.Saturday I spent a few hours at the soccer field. Grandparent-Fest 2007
I had a weekend chock-full of grandparents! Since Sunday was Grandparents Day, I had to make my rounds and visit them this weekend. They are all so good to me and I hope they had a wonderful Grandparents Day! Here are some pictures of me with my favorite people.

Friday's Fortune
Mommy and I met Daddy for lunch today at China Garden. When the waitress brought out the fortune cookies, she put one down for me too! Of course I didn't get to eat it, but I did get to open my fortune which read, "You will soon be the center of attention." I'm not even making that up, it really said that! Anyone who knows me can agree that I am always the center of attention. :) Right after lunch, Mommy got a text from Sarah Kingree that said my new pictures were up online and ready for viewing. When she told me that I thought "man, my fortune was right on!" So click HERE (then click the "client proofing" tab, type in the password "rhodes" and hit "submit") and make me the center of your attention by viewing all of my news pics! Enjoy!

Doctor, Doctor, Give Me the News
Boy, have I had one busy week! On Tuesday, I went for my check-up at Dr. Suvan's office (aka Dr. "Man").
(That's him on the left)
Here I am when she told me shots were involved...The big weigh in (please pardon the frontal nudity)...Waiting to be poked and prodded...
Today I went to Story Stretcher. We read a book, made a craft and did a little socializing. It was another fun day! Below is a picture of me posing with the turtle that I made (with a little help from Mommy). Reminds me of the street vendors in NY Chinatown...turtles, turtles, turtles. (You know what I'm talking about, Aunt Lisa) ;)
The doctor said I was doing great! He even let me do a little walking around the examining room for him. I think I really impressed him! His exact quote was, "he is walking early but that good"! Mommy & Daddy seemed proud, but they think I am above average on everything I do. :) I've only gained 1/2 lb. and grown 1/2 inch since my July appointment. In case you're charting my progress, I now weigh in at 20.8 lbs. and am 28.5 inches long. That puts me in the 36th percentile for weight and 32nd for height. I have definitely slowed down from the 2 lbs. a month I had been gaining. I guess my exercise routine is really helping me maintain my weight, instead of packing on the pounds like I had been experiencing!
Wednesday, I went to the Mommy-N-Me playgroup with, of course, my Mommy. I had a great time meeting other babies. I love making new friends! Below is a picture of me getting ready to leave for playgroup.

Life on the Farm
I had such a good time this weekend! Fischer came to PB for the holiday and I was so excited to see him! He brought along a few new pictures of himself and I just had to show them off.
I also have to tell you what I did on Sunday. Grandfather took me for my very first ride on the combine! We cut some rice, loaded it up in the big grain truck and had the guys haul it off to the elevator at Riceland. Last night I even had rice cereal for supper. I gotta do my part to keep Grandfather and rest of the farmers in business!
Here he is trying on a few disguises to fool the paparazzi...
I'm really diggin' his hat in that one picture. Just FYI, he told me that it was faux fur and no animals were harmed in the making of that hat. :)
Apparently, Fischer has also been attending culinary school in his spare time. His Grandpa Rose entered Fischer's secret recipe of plum jelly in the Butler County Fair and Fischer walked away (technically, I guess he was carried away since he can't walk yet) with the blue ribbon, two dollars (which I hope he is investing wisely) and a calculator! I'm looking forward to sampling some of his tasty treats soon.
And the winner is...
