The Three Amigos

Last night I went over to see my friends Jagger & Reese. We had a great time playing together. Reese has some pretty cool toys and I told Mommy she was going to have to get me some new ones like hers. We spent most of our time chasing after each other. Reese would follow Jagger around and I would follow them both around. We were like a little train! Jagger was showing off his big boy "wonderwear" (that's "underwear" to anyone over the age of 2). Below are a couple of pictures that were suitable for showing. Sorry Reese, but Mommy said I couldn't post that one picture. She doesn't want my blog to be shut down by the po-po and me to end up in the slamma! :)

Surprise!

Last night we had a big surprise party at Las Margaritas for Daddy's 30th birthday! Daddy was so surprised, I don't think he had a clue! Since I can't talk yet Mommy wasn't too worried about me spilling the beans to Dad. A bunch of people were there and just like always I was passed around all night long! My good friends Landen, Molly and Laney were all there. I had to juggle my time between my two women, Molly and Laney. Molly looked really cute and Laney wore the mini skirt that I requested she wear. She looked smokin' hot in it! Fischer also came to the party and it was great seeing him again. He is changing so much! He actually looks like he knows what's going on around him now! I was a gentleman and didn't hog all of the ladies. I introduced Fischer and Laney since they are about the same age. They seemed to really hit it off! We all had a great time and I stayed up way past my bedtime. I was sound asleep before we were out of the parking lot! Here are a few pictures from the party last night.

Baby Cakes

We had a great time celebrating Dad's 30th birthday on Wednesday. I even surprised him by making some cupcakes! Of course since I'm not allowed to use the oven I had to let Mom put them in and take them out. But I did everything else that was required.

Here I am mixing up the batter...

Taking a taste to make sure they are edible...

And finally, posing with my decorated masterpiece...
(Look at that grin on my face...that is the look of one pleased chef!)

Just call me Emeril! I can really "kick it up a notch" in the kitchen. BAM!

Ok, so maybe I didn't
actually get to taste them since babies my age can't have eggs. But Dad said they were delicious! Not only did I cook, but I also got him a great gift!

Here he is opening the GPS I bought him...

Since I am mobile now, he will be able to track my every move and always know where to find me!

The Big Three Ohhh!

Take a good look at the picture on the left. That's my daddy when he was about my age...remind you of anyone? Today is his 30th birthday! I can't imagine turning 30 - that's crazy old! 30 months I can see, but 30 years?! In honor of my dad's big day I wanted to post some pictures of the two of us spending some great times together over these past 8 1/2 months. I know there will be many more to come (as long as that old man can keep up with me)! Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!

Boy in Black

I just got my new shirt in the mail from the Trendy Tadpole. I was so excited and couldn't wait to put it on! I think I look like a tiny rockstar in it! I thought it was the perfect choice for me since Grandfather likes to sing me Johnny Cash songs. They are some of my favorites. I can't wait until I can start talking so I can sing along with him!

Also, I can't forget to wish Uncle Paul a Happy 25th Birthday! Try to stay out of trouble today and be sure to "walk the line" Uncle Paul!

Fun in the Sun

I know I have had some disappointed blog readers out there lately. I'm sure everyone has been constantly checking and hoping for a new post. But I'm a busy baby. Baby's got things to do. Like this past week, I met some new cousins of mine that I didn't even know existed! Conner & Logan came for a visit all the way from Dallas. This was our first meeting and we had a good time getting acquainted. They had to go back home today so they could get ready for their trip to the Bahamas (yeah, they live a pretty hard life like I do). Sorry I don't have any pictures of them to post but Great Aunt Cheryl took them all with her before I got some copies! I spent my weekend relaxing by the pool with the Rhodes fam. I loved chillin' in my little crab float that Mommy bought for me. The shade on it works wonders to keep the sun out of my little peepers!

Here I am hanging out poolside with Nina for a bit...

I also took a trip to the river to see some friends of mine. Landen and Molly invited me up to their cabin right on the river for some fun. Yep, you guessed it, I found me another girlfriend! Molly is only a month older than me so we could really bond on what's been going on and changing in our lives. All Landen could talk about was roasting some marshmallows once it got dark. I had to jet before that happened, but I sure hope his Mommy & Daddy hooked him up with some!

Here we are taking a timeout for a picture.
(I think Molly was upset because she wanted to sit by me for the picture instead of her b
rother...ladies love the Coop!)

Play on Playa

Today I had a playdate with a little cutie named Laney. She's almost two months old so she wasn't much into my crazy way of playing, but I'm sure she will be soon. I loved crawling over to her and touching her feet. Sometimes I would just stare at her and she would make some funny noises at me. I couldn't quite make out what she was saying to me, but I think she was asking me to be her boyfriend. I know what you're thinking...what about my crush on Reese, right? Well, I like them both! Can't a guy play the field? I just don't know if I'm ready to settle down yet. They seem like they are both pretty cool chicks so I don't think they would mind if I had playdates with them both. Anyway, I had a great time with Laney today and I hope we can do it again soon! I'm sure our Daddies are hoping our next playdate is at their duck blind but I just don't think our Mommies will go for that one...at least not yet.

Mimi Rocks!

Today I got a call that I was needed down on the farm. (I try to help out whenever my schedule allows it.) I got there just as Mimi finished making some BLTs and sweet corn for the hardworking farmers and insurance agents (yep, Daddy showed up too!). Unfortunately, I fell asleep before I got to taste any, but I hear it was delicious! When I woke up Daddy & the farmers were gone! I guess they got the work done without me, but I'm sure I could have been a big help to those guys. Maybe next time. So I just spent my day hanging out with Mimi & Mommy. I let Mimi chase me around her house for awhile. I pretty much do all of my same moves that I do at home, I just like having a different obstacle course sometimes! She finally caught me and rocked me to sleep. She sure knows how to make a baby drowsy, she must have had some practice because she is awfully good at it!
Here I am snoozing away on Mimi...
(this picture has been removed)
Maybe next time I go down there I can help Grandfather by driving a tractor or combine for him. I think that will look pretty good on my resume, don't you?

Pull-ups...and I don't mean the diaper kind

Remember how I said that it wouldn't be long before I was pulling up all over the house? Well, look below for some proof of what I was talking about.

Here I am pulling myself up on my jungle activity mat. I feel like I'm "king of jungle" the way I tower above it!Here I am pulling up on my exersaucer. It's a whole new world when you're standing on the other side of that thing! And here I am pulling up on my sister Scout's cage. (That's Dad hovering over me so I don't bust my face wide open...he's such a worrier!) I think it's really funny when Scout is in it and I do this. She thinks I am going to let her out, but instead I just heckle her from the outside! (I can be one cruel little bro!)
The only downside to all of this pulling up is that I can't seem to figure out how to get back down. It's really annoying when I'm trying to nap and all of a sudden I get the urge to stand up in my bed. Of course, I always go with my urges and then I have to cry so Mom will come in and help me back down. It is a vicious cycle I tell ya! Needless to say, my naps haven't been going that great these last couple of days. Hopefully, I will get the kinks worked out very soon so I can go back to being my usual, predictable self.

Get Up, Stand Up!

So the other day I was taking my usual noon time nap and everything was going great. I woke up and thought "that crib rail looks like something I might could pull myself up with". So I gave it a try and you guessed it, I stood right up in my bed! Daddy heard me waking up and came in to get me. You should have seen the look on his face when he saw me standing there, it was PRICELESS! He quickly came over and got me out of bed. I wasn't thinking of jumping or anything, but I think that's what he thought I was going to do next. I was just having a good time...grinning from ear to ear and laughing! My crib was already lowered so I probably couldn't have made an escape, but Mommy made him put it as low as it can go right then and there! (They sure know how to kill a good time!) Even with their so-called "baby proofing" (I use that term loosely because there ain't no stoppin' me!) I managed to stand up again in it! They better look out...it won't be long now before I am pulling up all over the house!

Kissin' Cousins

Yesterday my cousin Hannah came over to spend the day with me. We had so much fun together! We got just about every toy that I own out of my toy box to play with. We went for a walk (actually Hannah walked, I got to ride along in my stroller). And we pretty much just had a great time catching up. Hannah told me how she is looking forward to starting kindergarten this fall...well, she's looking forward to the part where she gets to play on scooters in the gym. She also filled me in on what I missed at Grandpa's birthday party after I had to go to bed. All I'm gonna say is 5 pieces of cake = a belly ache! I would have to say that the best part of the day was when Hannah said she wished I were her little brother. I thought that was so sweet! I told her that she should tell her mom that she wants a little brother! (You can thank me later, Aunt Michelle.)

Here are a few pictures of us acting silly yesterday...

Dooms Day

I'm sure you are all wondering if babies are scared of Friday the 13th. I don't know what the big deal is, I mean what is there to be scared of anyway?
Am I scared I might have an accident in my diaper? (Nope, I do it everyday.)
Am I scared I might be out somewhere and spit up all over my clothes? (Been there, done that.)
Am I scared that my seemingly never-ending supply of milk will dry up? (Now, I might be a little scared of that one!)

I'm sure everyone knows about all of the Friday the 13th superstitions that are out there. But I'm new to this whole "Friday the 13th hoop-la". I mean, this is only my second Friday the 13th EVER! But with me being a baby and all, I am very knowledgeable about baby superstitions. So while everyone out there is worried about a black cat crossing their path, take a look below at what a baby has to be worried about.

*If the finger or toenails of a baby are cut prior to the age of 12 months, it will prove a thief in mature age. (Uh-oh, hold on to your wallets people, looks like I'm gonna have sticky fingers.)

*A baby's tooth, set in a ring or brooch, was sometimes worn in order to bring good luck. (Now don't go getting any ideas. I mean my teeth are just now starting to come in let's not starting yanking them out just yet!)

*It is unlucky to wash a baby's head for the first twelve months. (Boy, I would be one greasy guy if Mommy listened to this one!)

*Washing a baby's hands before his first birthday will take away his riches and he will live and die poor. (Thanks a lot Mom & Dad. Not only am I broke now, but I can look forward to being broke when I'm old too!)

*Babies first lost teeth are burned in order to prevent snaggle teeth from coming in. (Burn baby burn!)

*If a baby is born with teeth he will become extremely selfish. (I'm a giver, not a taker.)

See, babies have a little more to worry about than you might think. Happy Friday the 13th!

Trendy Tadpole

Today my post is actually a review! You see, my hip cousin Fischer bought himself a stylin' onesie from this store called the Trendy Tadpole (www.trendytadpole.com). His Mommy went bonkers when she saw this shirt because it says "AB/CD For Those About To Read We Salute You". In case you don't know, his Mommy is a reading coach at school and she LOVES reading, so of course she couldn't pass on getting it for Fischer. (I had originally posted a picture of him wearing it on my "See Ya Later, Alligator" blog post.)

Well, Fischer called me yesterday and told me that I might could win a free shirt if I gave a shout out to the Trendy Tadpole on my blog! Next thing I knew Julie Anusevicius from the Trendy Tadpole emailed my Mommy and said she would indeed give me a free shirt if I blogged about her store! Now considering my financial status (I am a baby and I am unemployed therefore no income) I am all about free swag! Ya know, it's not just pimps--it's hard out here for a baby too! So here I am plugging this store as fast as my little chubby hands can type so I can get my free shirt! Now, all you other babies out there reading my blog, check out the Trendy Tadpole so you too can be cool like Fischer and me!

Here's a picture of Fischer sporting his shirt with his best "you better go buy something from the Trendy Tadpole or ELSE" face...
P.S. Thanks Fischer and Julie for helping me stay on top of all the latest trends! :)
Stay tuned for pictures of me in my new shirt from the Trendy Tadpole!

Flower Child

Mommy & Daddy had a great time last night for their anniversary and I had a great time with Nina and Pepa! Nina fed me all of my favorite things...sweet potatoes, bananas and rice cereal. But somehow green beans got put into the mix! Now, if you read one of my earlier posts you know how I feel about those green beans. I can't blame Nina though Mom was the one who packed my dinner. Thanks for letting me come over and hang out, Nina & Pepa! I hope we can do it again soon!

Daddy & I surprised Mommy with some pretty flowers that I helped pick out for her. She really liked them! She even let me smell them. I put my nose so close that they tickled it. That made me laugh and then I sneezed. Mommy and Daddy thought that was pretty funny! I'll do anything for a laugh. That's my job...to keep them entertained!

Hau'oli Piha Makahiki

That's Hawaiian for Happy Anniversary! (Not only do I know English, but I can also type in the Hawaiian language!)

Three
years ago today my Mommy and Daddy said "I do" in Maui. I didn't know them then (heck, I've only known them for 8 months) but they sure do seem like a great couple. I'm going to go see Pepa and Nina tonight so they can go celebrate together...that was my idea. Have fun you two! Maybe next year the three of us can go celebrate together in Maui! (Mommy told me to write that Daddy...hint, hint ;)

Sitting Pretty

Are you sitting down for this latest news? Last night, for the first time, I sat up without support! I was crawling all around the house and just popped up into the sitting position. I normally use my arm to prop me up, but last night I decided I didn't need to use it anymore. All day long today I was crawling and sitting up like a champ! I think I burned some serious calories today with all of my crawling. When Mommy would walk down the hallway I was right behind her. Anywhere she went I was right on her heels...she couldn't shake me off. See what I'm talking about...
Tomorrow I'm headed to Pepa and Nina's to hang with them for the evening. I hope Baxter is ready for me to chase him around the house...I think I might be able to catch him now!

See Ya Later, Alligator

Today I had to say goodbye to Fischer. :( He had to go back to Springfield with his Mommy and Daddy. I hated to see him go we have had a great time together this past week. He invited me up to his place though and even said I could go with him to his playgroup and his baby yoga class sometime. I have my "downward facing dog" yoga pose perfected so I'm sure I will be a hit at his class!

I had a blast at Grandpa's party last night! Everyone passed me around like a hot potato...it was great! Pepa did his trademark "balancing act" with me and I loved it (Mommy on the other hand is a little skeptical of that trick). Nina and I made a date for Tuesday night so Mommy and Daddy can go out and celebrate their 3 year anniversary. I'm looking forward to showing her and Pepa how fast I can crawl now!

Today's birthday shout out goes to Uncle John! (Here's a picture of us at the UNC Tarheels game when I was just a few weeks old.) Have a good one, Uncle John!

Horsin' Around

I just got back from Fischer's Grandpa and Grandma Rose's house today. They have two horses I got to check out. One is named Top Hat and the other is a Shetland Pony named Sledge. Unfortunately, we couldn't get my carseat installed properly on either of them so I didn't get to go for a ride. :)

(Above is a picture of Daddy and me with Sledge.)

Uncle John, who told me he is a faithful blog reader of mine by the way, was at the Rose's and I was so excited to get to see him again! (Even though he specifically requested digital photos of me ONLY...I told you I would mention it in my blog, Uncle John!) Here's a photo of me with Uncle Patrick, Uncle Andrew, Uncle John (who is holding me), and Daddy in the barn.

After all that "man" time I had with the guys, Aunt Lisa took me swinging for some quality Aunt/Nephew time while Fischer took a nap. Sorry Fischer, but you snooze you lose big guy! :)
Tonight I'm off to my Great Grandpa Thacker's big 80th birthday bash! I better go get a nap in now so I can party tonight!

Chillin' with my peeps

Yesterday, Daddy and I went over to Great Grandpa Thacker's house to wish him a happy birthday. I don't know what was going on with me but I just wasn't feeling like myself I guess, because I cried whenever he or Grandma tried to hold me. I guess I was just having one of those days, ya know? Anyway, after I got back home two of my best friends Jagger & Reese called and asked if they could stop by to see "Coopy" and "Fischin" (that's what Jagger likes to call us). :) Those two are so much fun and I'm always so excited to get to see them! Jagger had some awesome fireworks tattoos that he liked showing off...he is one cool cat! Reese looked as pretty as ever. I have a HUGE crush on that little lady. We had a great time together and I can't wait to hang out with them again soon! Here's a picture of me chillin' with my peeps.

My sleepover with Fischer was a blast! (Except for the part where I got a frozen diaper!) Unfortunately, I couldn't hang with that night owl. I was sound asleep by 8pm. I guess I partied a little too much last night cause I slept in this morning til 9:40!

Here we are in our pjs rolling out of bed this morning.

Today Daddy took off work so he could spend the day with Mommy and me! I think we're going to go see what Grandfather and Mimi are up to today and I'm sure Mommy will be snapping some more pictures of Fischer and me...that woman is relentless!

Party at my crib!

I hope everyone had a great 4th! I sure did. My cheeks are a little sore today from all of the kisses Mimi planted on me though. :)

Here are some pictures of Fischer and me hangin' out by the watermelon Grandfather picked up for us to eat. Unfortunately, our Moms wouldn't let us eat any, we just got to pose with it for pictures. :(

Fischer and I loved getting togethe
r and hanging out again. He sure is growing...I hardly recognized him! We need to work on getting our schedules in sync though. Everytime I was awake and ready to get my play on he would fall asleep and when I had to take a break he would be ready for some action!

Tonight we are having a sleepover at my house...I can't wait! I'm going to let him try out my activity mat and bouncy seat that I'm too big for now. I even have my bassinet that I used when I was little ready for him so he has somewhere to sleep. I like to have all of my guests favorite things ready for them when they come to stay with me (just like Oprah does!) What can I say, I'm a very good host! Fischer, if you're reading this, the first one to fall asleep tonight gets their diaper in the freezer! ;)

And last but not least, I have to give another birthday shout out. This one goes out to my Great Grandpa Thacker. Today he turns 80 years old! And just like Aunt Chelle, he was also with me to celebrate my birthday in the hospital. (See the picture of us below.) Have a great birthday, Grandpa!

Mr. Independence

Happy Independence Day! So today I'm off for fun, food and fireworks down on the farm for my very first 4th of July! But first things first I have to give a shout out to my Aunt Michelle...today's her birthday! She was with me when I celebrated my birthday so I hope to get to celebrate with her soon! See here we are on my birthday at the hospital...

I hope you have a great birthday Aunt Michelle!
